How Do I… Make An Appointment?
Appointments can be made by
- Telephoning 366 3391 after 8.00am Monday to Friday.
- Or click on the “Request an appointment” tab and follow the prompts. THIS SERVICE IS FOR STANDARD APPOINTMENTS ONLY.
Routine appointments can be booked well in advance thereby enabling us to offer you an appointment suitable to your requirements.
The best way to make an urgent appointment, is to phone the surgery during office hours. Please indicate to our receptionist the possible degree of urgency if needed. It may be useful to ask for a call back from our nurse if you would like advice.
Please remember an appointment gives the doctor time to deal with one person and one problem. If you feel your problem(s) need extra time, please mention this to the receptionist and you will be given an appropriate appointment.
If you cannot keep an appointment please inform us as soon as possible so that your appointment can be offered to somebody else.
Please note emails are not a suitable way of having a consultation. We prefer face to face contact
15 minute Standard Appointment
We try to ensure that we keep up with our appointments schedule; we don’t want anyone to wait unnecessarily. Each time we spend more than the scheduled time with a patient it impacts on the people who we are scheduled to see next. From time to time an urgent matter will cause us to run behind time. You can help us to keep to our appointment schedule by noting the points below.
- We allow up to 15 minutes for a consultation which will usually allow time for us to properly deal with one key issue or two smaller issues.
- If you think you will require a longer consultation time ask our receptionist to book you a double appointment. This will incur an additional charge.
- We may to ask you to book another appointment if you wish us to address multiple issues; we want to ensure that you get our full attention when you are here.
- All emergencies will take priority and appointment times are therefore approximate; but we will make every effort to see you at the arranged time.
After Hours
Outside of our usual hours, our telephone is answered by a registered nurse who will direct you to the appropriate service.
